Job Summary

• To provide independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. The internal auditor ensures compliance with financial, operational, and healthcare regulations while improving efficiency and safeguarding organizational assets.

Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution:

• Develop risk-based annual audit plans.
• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.

Risk Management:

• Identify key risk areas across departments.
• Assess risk mitigation strategies and recommend improvements.
• Support enterprise risk management processes.

Compliance & Regulatory Audits:

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and standards.
• Review adherence to internal policies and procedures.
• Support external audits and regulatory inspections.

Financial & Operational Audits:

• Review financial records, revenue cycles, and expenditures.
• Audit procurement, inventory, payroll, and asset management systems.
• Detect fraud, errors, and inefficiencies.

Reporting & Follow-Up:

• Prepare clear audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Present reports to management and Audit Committee.
• Track and follow up on implementation of corrective actions.

Advisory & Continuous Improvement:

• Recommend improvements to internal controls and processes.
• Provide advisory support to management on risk and compliance matters.
• Participate in policy development and review.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Professional Certifications

• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)
• ACCA / ICAN

Experience:

• Must have 3–5 years of audit experience.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and investigative skills
• Knowledge of auditing standards and internal controls
• Understanding of healthcare operations and compliance
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Attention to detail and critical thinking
