Job Summary
- The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the consistent preparation and delivery of high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, efficiency, and cost control.
- The role involves supervising kitchen staff, coordinating food production, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent service delivery in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service.
- Lead, train, coach, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high performance and productivity.
- Ensure all meals are prepared consistently according to approved recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Monitor food preparation processes to maintain taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Develop staff schedules and assign daily responsibilities to ensure adequate kitchen coverage.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections to maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, place requisitions for ingredients and kitchen supplies, and minimize waste.
- Receive and inspect food deliveries to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Monitor food costs and implement measures to reduce wastage and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, pricing, and the introduction of new menu items.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report faults promptly.
- Handle customer feedback related to food quality and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Support catering operations by ensuring food is prepared, packaged, and delivered according to event specifications and timelines.
- Maintain accurate kitchen records, including inventory, temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and staff attendance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualification
- Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 1-2 years experience.
Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 per month.
