Description
- Our client is seeking an exceptional business leader to build and scale their e-commerce store into one of Nigeria's most trusted online marketplaces.
- This is a founding team opportunity for a commercially minded professional who can recruit quality vendors, build strategic partnerships, establish operational systems and drive marketplace growth while working directly with the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard and retain reputable marketplace vendors.
- Grow product categories and improve catalogue quality.
- Develop customer trust systems including vendor verification, reviews, returns and complaint resolution.
- Build partnerships with logistics providers, payment platforms and suppliers.
- Improve marketplace operations, fulfilment and customer experience.
- Work with developers to enhance website performance, search and conversion.
- Monitor KPIs and provide weekly and monthly executive reports.
Ideal Candidate
- Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s / Master`s Degree
- Not less than 5 years core experience
- Proven success launching or scaling an e-commerce marketplace or online retail platform.
- Existing network of vendors, merchants, distributors or marketplace partners within Nigeria.
- Strong vendor acquisition, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Experience with marketplace operations, fulfilment and customer experience.
- Good understanding of digital marketing, AI marketing tools, content strategy and online community management.
- Ability to interpret business data and make commercially sound decisions.
- Experience working with technology, marketing and operations teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high integrity, ownership and resilience.
Preferred Work Background:
- E-commerce, digital commerce, FMCG distribution, consumer electronics, retail or technology-enabled businesses.
Compensation
Competitive salary (N400,000 - N550,000 monthly) plus performance-based incentives.
