Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of machinery and production equipment within our industrial/manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of machinery and production equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults and equipment breakdowns.
- Monitor the performance and efficiency of industrial machinery to minimize downtime.
- Ensure production equipment is properly maintained and operates safely and efficiently.
- Identify potential equipment failures and implement preventive measures.
- Support production operations by resolving mechanical and equipment-related issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and production records and prepare relevant reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Contribute to equipment efficiency, cost reduction, and improved production performance.
- Lead and coordinate maintenance activities and work effectively with production and technical teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
- B.Sc./B.Eng. / HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience in machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and production equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial machinery, equipment operation, and preventive maintenance.
- Experience in food processing, agricultural processing, or a similar industrial environment is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of production processes, equipment efficiency, downtime reduction, and cost control.
- Knowledge of industrial health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance/production reporting tools.
- Relevant professional certification is an advantage.
Work Schedule:
- Monday–Saturday shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM), with Sunday overtime as required.
Salary
N300,000 per month.
