Job Summary
- Responsible for the engineering, design, specification, inspection, and technical support of static mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review engineering designs, specifications, datasheets, and technical documents for static equipment.
- Provide technical expertise on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, columns, reactors, and related equipment.
- Review vendor drawings, calculations, material specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure equipment designs comply with applicable ASME, API, ISO, and project standards.
- Support equipment selection, sizing, material selection, and technical evaluations.
- Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, HAZOPs, and other project engineering activities.
- Coordinate with Process, Piping, Civil, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines.
- Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, inspection, and commissioning.
- Identify and resolve engineering issues while ensuring compliance with HSE and quality requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, equipment requisitions, bid evaluations, and other engineering deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Energy industry is highly preferred.
- Experience with static equipment engineering and design.
- Good knowledge of ASME, API, and other relevant engineering codes and standards.
- Experience reviewing vendor documents and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and related static equipment.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Experience:
- Candidates with experience in EPC, PMC, refinery, petrochemical, or major oil & gas projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
