Job Summary
- We are seeking a motivated, confident, and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our pharmacy team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, attracting new customers, promoting pharmacy products and services, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
- The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and persuasion skills, a good understanding of pharmaceutical and healthcare products, and the ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively promote and sell pharmacy products, healthcare products, wellness products, and other approved pharmacy services.
- Attend to customers professionally and provide helpful information about available products.
- Identify customers' needs and recommend appropriate products within the scope of the role, referring clinical or prescription-related matters to the pharmacist.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Identify and develop new customer opportunities to increase pharmacy revenue.
- Follow up with existing customers to encourage repeat purchases and build customer loyalty.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, healthcare professionals, corporate clients, and other relevant partners.
- Conduct product presentations and promotions when required.
- Inform customers about new products, promotions, discounts, and pharmacy services.
- Assist in converting enquiries and walk-in customers into sales.
- Follow up on leads through phone calls, WhatsApp, social media, and other approved channels.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads, sales activities, and follow-ups.
- Monitor customer feedback and communicate recurring concerns or product requests to the pharmacist or pharmacy manager.
- Assist with stock monitoring and report fast-moving, slow-moving, and out-of-stock products.
- Work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure products are properly displayed and readily available to customers.
- Participate in pharmacy promotional campaigns, health awareness activities, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Support customer retention initiatives and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates on sales performance and market activities.
- Monitor competitors' products, pricing, promotions, and market activities where required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the pharmacy positively at all times.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with pharmacy policies and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum of an OND, HND, Bachelor's degree, or relevant qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Pharmacy Technology, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in a pharmacy, healthcare, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge or willingness to learn about pharmaceutical, healthcare, wellness, and personal care products.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and customer relationship management skills.
- Good knowledge of WhatsApp, social media, and other digital communication platforms for customer engagement.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of AI tools like Chatgpt and Claude AI.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a target-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Must be proactive, confident, energetic, and results-oriented.
