Senior Mining Engineer at Mosra Energy Limited (2 Openings)

Job Summary

• We are looking for hands-on operational leaders who maintain strong visibility in the field, anticipate and resolve operational constraints, hold teams accountable, and take ownership of production and operational results.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily mining operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and safety targets.
• Oversee drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, hauling, stockpiling, and other mining activities, ensuring efficient mine sequencing and execution.
• Drive optimum utilization and availability of mining equipment, manpower and other resources in collaboration with Maintenance and Operations teams.
• Monitor daily and weekly production performance against targets, identify constraints early and implement appropriate recovery actions.
• Develop practical operating plans for wet-season and other challenging mining conditions to minimize avoidable downtime and sustain production.
• Evaluate mine productivity, equipment deployment, haul routes and work methods, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Enforce HSE requirements, operational procedures, workforce discipline, and proper use of company equipment and resources.
• Provide strong on-site leadership, ensuring clear work allocation, shift discipline, accountability and effective coordination of mining personnel and contractors.
• Work collaboratively with Site Management, Maintenance, Quality, HSE and other functions to resolve operational constraints and meet customer requirements.
• Develop and coach mining personnel, strengthen team capability and support succession across critical operational roles.
• Maintain accurate production, downtime, equipment utilization and other operational records, providing timely reports and recommendations to Management.
• Perform other mining and operational responsibilities required to achieve safe, efficient and sustainable site performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent inMining Engineeringor related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated operating experience in mining operations and maintenance practices.
• In-depth knowledge of mining operations, production, maintenance, process control, and health and safety management.
• Commercial acumen and experience regarding how to maximize the financial returns of the project including the ability to manage contracts effectively and to compile and manage budgets and operating costs.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Commitment to implementing safety and environmental regulations
• Good data-gathering and analysis skills.
• Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in mining operations, including significant hands-on responsibility for production planning and execution, drilling/blasting, excavation, loading and haulage, heavy equipment utilization and workforce supervision.
• Candidates should demonstrate a strong record of delivering production targets, managing operational constraints, improving productivity and leading multidisciplinary mining teams in demanding field environments.
