Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

About the Role
- As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions that power Expedier's fintech products.
- You are expected to lead technically, mentor engineers, uphold engineering standards, and ensure timely delivery of business-critical features.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design, development, and deployment of software features
- Lead architectural decisions and maintain high coding standards through code reviews
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and third-party integrations with payment providers and banking partners
- Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP
- Ensure security, compliance, and quality across all engineering work
- Champion automated testing, performance monitoring, and rapid incident resolution
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through coaching and pair programming
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Compliance, and Operations teams
- Participate actively in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 4–6 years of professional software engineering experience
- Prior experience in a fintech or financial services environment is an advantage
- Proficiency in React (TypeScript) and Django (Python)
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and database management
- Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and third-party integrations
- Knowledge of secure coding standards, authentication, and encryption
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira or GitHub Projects
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ownership mindset, accountability, and high attention to detail.
