About the Role

As a Mid-Level Client Full-Stack Engineer at Binance, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining our instant messaging platform. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the APAC region, including the UAE and the Philippines. We are looking for someone with a solid background in Android development, particularly using Kotlin and Java, to enhance our messaging features.

Your expertise in asynchronous programming and RESTful APIs will be crucial for integrating real-time communication protocols. You will collaborate closely with backend teams to ensure a seamless user experience. This role offers the chance to mentor junior engineers and contribute to significant technical design decisions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain client-side applications for our messaging platform.
Build core messaging features such as real-time chat and group chat.
Participate in client-side architecture design and optimization.
Integrate RESTful APIs and real-time communication protocols like WebSocket.
Optimize client performance focusing on speed and UI responsiveness.
Collaborate with backend teams on API design and troubleshoot issues.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design discussions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
1-5 years of experience in Android development.
Strong understanding of messaging concepts and performance.
Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK.
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Agile processes.
Knowledge of automated testing practices.
