Mid-Level Founding Solutions Engineer (Remote)

About the Role

As a Mid-Level Founding Solutions Engineer at Tailscale, you will play a crucial role in shaping our presence in the APAC region. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere, including the UAE and the Philippines. You will be the technical voice of Tailscale, focusing on secure connectivity and zero-trust networking. Your expertise will help us expand our customer base and enhance our product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Act as the pioneering technical voice for Tailscale in APAC.
• Partner closely with Account Executives to identify and close new commercial opportunities.
• Lead discovery workshops and deliver tailored product demonstrations.
• Manage technical Proof of Concepts (POCs) and engage in R&D activities.
• Document and synthesize critical field insights and architectural trends.
• Build reusable demo environments and solution blueprints.
• Collaborate with adjacent customer-facing technical teams.

Requirements

• 4-5+ years in a customer-facing Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer role.
• Experience navigating ambiguity in a high-growth startup culture.
• Strong networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of zero-trust networking and secure connectivity.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Technical storytelling capacity and strong interpersonal skills.
