Responsibilities

  • Receive and process cheque and electronic payments accurately.
  • Issue official receipts and ensure correct accounting of daily takings.
  • Prepare banking deposits in accordance with internal controls.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to payments and balances effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and organized payment records for auditing purposes.
  • Adhere to security and cash-handling policies to safeguard assets.
  • Support audit and reconciliation activities to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with other front-of-house tasks as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum secondary education is required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong numerical accuracy to ensure precise transactions.
  • Good communication skills to interact with customers effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Proficient with basic computer systems and POS software.
  • A diploma or certificate in finance is a plus.
  • Experience in cashiering or a teller role is advantageous.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
