About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Accounting & Tax Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with tax regulations and developing effective tax strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and VAT within the GCC or European markets. This position requires a strong understanding of tax laws and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage tax compliance and strategy to ensure adherence to local laws.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns to avoid penalties.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize financial performance.
  • Review Group Structure for tax optimization and efficiency.
  • Prepare and review corporation tax calculations for accuracy.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries to mitigate risks.
  • Identify and assess tax risks and opportunities for the organization.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals to enhance their skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in corporate income tax.
  • 3-4 years as a Tax Manager in a Big 4 or multinational company.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting tools.
  • Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA is preferred.
  • Master's degree in Law is a plus.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
