About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Payroll Specialist to join our team in Sharjah. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. You will collaborate closely with HR and Finance departments to maintain payroll integrity and compliance. Your expertise in HR payroll systems and numerical reasoning will be essential in enhancing our payroll practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the payroll process by ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
  • Analyze current payroll practices and recommend improvements for efficiency.
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to secure necessary payroll approvals.
  • Conduct payroll checks and generate detailed reports for management review.
  • Monitor attendance and overtime records to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Guide and coach HR team members on payroll-related inquiries and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, HR, statistics, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of payroll-related experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in leading payroll functions and managing payroll systems.
  • Strong knowledge of change management processes and their application.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, ERP SAP, and Oracle.
  • Fluency in Arabic is a plus but not mandatory.

Requirements

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
