Account Officer

About the Role

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Account Officer to support the financial operations of our warehouse and distribution business.
• The ideal candidate should have practical accounting experience, strong numerical skills and an understanding of financial transactions within a warehouse or distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions.
• Track sales, expenses, payments and receipts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile cash, bank and transaction records.
• Prepare invoices, receipts and payment documentation.
• Monitor customer payments and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Work closely with the warehouse and operations teams to reconcile stock-related transactions.
• Support payroll and other finance-related activities.
• Identify and report financial discrepancies.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.

Requirements

• OND, HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a warehouse, logistics or distribution company.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting or inventory management software is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Must be trustworthy and able to handle financial information with confidentiality.

Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 per month.
