Job Description

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Officer (Bank Reconciliation) to join our Finance team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing timely and accurate bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, monitoring financial transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of bank and accounting records.
• This role is critical to maintaining strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective cash management.

Minimum Requirements

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations across assigned bank accounts.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
• Review and reconcile outstanding payments, deposits, transfers, bank charges, and other transactions.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and supporting schedules for management review.
• Liaise with banks and relevant internal departments to resolve transaction and reconciliation issues.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ACA is an added advantage.
• 3 – 5 years of proven experience in bank reconciliation, accounting, or financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
