Area Sales Manager (Dry Hair)

Summary

• We are seeking a results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations for our Dry Hair product category in Aba.
• The ideal candidate must demonstrate astrong grip on secondary sales, proven team management skills, and anaggressive approach to primary sales.

Key Responsibilities
Primary & Secondary Sales:

• Driveprimary salesby managing distributor offtake and ensuring consistent stock flow from the company to distribution partners.
• Drivesecondary salesby ensuring effective product movement from distributors to retailers and end-consumers.
• Monitor and report on secondary sales data to ensure real market demand is met, preventing stock build-up at distributor level.

Team Management:

• Lead, coach, and supervise the field sales team (OMSRs, van sales reps, etc.) to deliver volume, distribution, and visibility targets.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide on-the-ground coaching to improve team effectiveness.

Market & Distributor Management:

• Manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail accounts within the Aba territory.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends, providing actionable insights to the Regional Manager.

Reporting & Strategy:

• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses.
• Develop and implement territory sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• 3–5 yearsof sales experience in FMCG, beauty, personal care, or hair care.
• Minimum of2 years in a supervisory capacity.

Core Competencies

• Strong Grip on Secondary Sales:Proven experience in driving sell-through at the retail level, managing distributor-to-retailer movement, and closing the data gap between primary and secondary sales.
• Aggressive Primary Sales Approach:Proven track record of achieving and exceeding primary sales targets with distributors.
• Team Management & Leadership:Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a field sales team to achieve set targets.
• Distributor Management:Strong experience in managing relationships with distributors and key trade partners.
• Excellent Communication & Negotiation:Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Analytical & Reporting:Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting tools.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 per month.
