Business Development Executive

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

• The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client and partner relationships, and increasing revenue through new clients, partnerships, market expansion, and business opportunities across the Group and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

• New Business Acquisition: Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities, corporate accounts, and potential clients to increase revenue.
• Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, travel agencies, corporate organisations, institutions, and other strategic partners.
• Market Expansion: Identify new markets, customer segments, products, and services that can increase the Group’s customer base and revenue.
• Subsidiary Growth: Identify and develop business opportunities for the Group’s subsidiaries, including cross-selling and shared commercial opportunities.
• Market Intelligence & Commercial Strategy: Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs and use the information to develop practical business growth strategies.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and follow up on leads to convert them into business opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, quotations, and other materials required to secure new clients.
• Conduct regular client visits and meetings to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for additional business.
• Negotiate commercial terms with clients and partners in line with company policies and approved guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, client interactions, sales activities, and business development results.
• Work closely with management and other departments to ensure smooth delivery of services to clients and partners.
• Prepare regular business development reports and provide updates on sales activities, opportunities, and revenue performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• 2–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related role.
• Strong communication, negotiation, networking, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to identify and convert business opportunities into revenue.
• Good understanding of market research, sales processes, and customer relationship management.
• Strong presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets, and manage multiple business opportunities.
• Experience in aviation, travel, logistics, hospitality, or related industries is an advantage.

Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 / month.
