Business Development Officer

Job Description

• We are seeking a driven, highly collaborative, and results-oriented Business Development Officer to drive business growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, securing Total Facility Management (TFM) contracts, and expanding our B2B client portfolio.
• The ideal candidate must have cognate experience within the real estate industry, with a good understanding of the real estate and facility management environment.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying prospective clients, developing business opportunities, supporting proposals and presentations, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous market research to pinpoint upcoming commercial and residential real estate projects, corporate relocations, and new business leads.
• Pitch Alpha Mead’s comprehensive hard and soft facility management solutions to corporate executives, developers, and property asset managers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Develop and deliver business proposals, presentations, quotations, and other relevant sales materials.
• Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and business pitches to secure new contracts.
• Follow up on leads, proposals, and business opportunities to drive conversion.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions that meet clients’ real estate and facility management needs.
• Steer commercial deal negotiations, finalize service level agreements (SLAs), and secure profitable, mutually beneficial contracts with incoming clients.
• Maintain accurate records of business development activities, leads, prospects, and client interactions.
• Support the achievement of business development and revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, Estate Management, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in Business Development, Sales, or a similar role within a real estate environment.
• Previous experience working in the real estate industry is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant business development tools.

Additional Information

• Good understanding of the real estate, property management, and/or facility management sector.
• Proven experience in lead generation, client acquisition, relationship management, and business development.
• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
