Job Summary
- We are seeking a disciplined, alert, and physically fit Male Security Officer to safeguard the company's properties, employees, residents, visitors, assets, and equipment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, monitoring access to company premises, identifying potential security threats, responding appropriately to incidents, and ensuring that established security procedures are strictly followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to company premises, sites, offices, and residential properties.
- Verify the identity of employees, visitors, contractors, and other persons entering or leaving the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and identify suspicious activities or security risks.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and other security systems where available.
- Maintain accurate records of visitors, incidents, movements, and security activities.
- Report suspicious persons, activities, theft, damage, or security breaches immediately.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.
- Protect company property, equipment, materials, and other assets from theft, damage, or unauthorized access.
- Monitor movement of company materials and equipment in and out of the premises.
- Ensure gates, doors, windows, storage areas, and other access points are properly secured.
- Work closely with the CSO, Security Supervisor, Site Safety Officer, and other relevant personnel.
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when required and authorized.
- Assist in emergency response and evacuation procedures.
- Enforce security rules and regulations professionally and respectfully.
- Maintain discipline and order within the assigned premises.
- Remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
- Ensure proper handover and briefing to the next security officer at the end of each shift.
- Report faulty security equipment, lighting, gates, locks, CCTV systems, and other security infrastructure.
- Perform other security-related duties reasonably assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Minimum of secondary school education certificate.
- 2–5 years of relevant security experience.
- Previous experience in residential estates, construction sites, corporate organizations, hotels, or similar environments is an advantage.
- Security training or certification is an advantage.
- Must be male and physically fit for the demands of the role.
- Good observation and situational-awareness skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write basic reports and maintain security records.
- Must be reliable, disciplined, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Must be willing to work in different locations/sites as assigned.
