Job Summary
- The Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the hospitality subsidiary of the group, ensuring seamless service delivery, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, staff productivity, regulatory compliance and achievement of business and financial objectives.
Job Functions
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the hospitality, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to operational standards.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, monitor feedback and complaints, and ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise operational staff, coordinate staffing and schedules, monitor performance and promote teamwork, discipline and accountability.
- Monitor operational costs, budgets and revenue performance while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and minimize wastage and losses.
- Ensure adequate supplies, effective inventory control, facility maintenance and proper functioning of equipment and assets.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, sanitation, food safety and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve services, increase revenue, enhance customer retention and develop wellness packages, memberships and partnerships.
- Monitor operational performance, identify gaps and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, service quality and overall customer experience.
- Prepare regular operational reports and monitor key performance indicators across all business units, providing management with recommendations for improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/HND in Hospitality, Business Administration, Operations Management, Tourism, Management Sciences or a related field.
- 5–8 years' relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in hospitality operations is highly desirable.
- Professional certification in hospitality, operations or management is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality and wellness operations.
- Excellent leadership, customer service and people-management skills.
- Good financial, budgeting, cost-control, inventory and procurement knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene and facility management requirements.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
