Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Location: Wuse Zone 7, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Manual Testing:Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on product requirements and user stories.
• FinTech Focus: Execute in-depth testing for our FinTech platform, including payments, ledger systems, compliance features, and user interfaces.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using our defect tracking system, collaborating with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Regression and Smoke Testing:Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain intact after changes and execute daily smoke tests on new builds.
• Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and review meetings, actively contributing to the quality strategy for the team.
• Environment Setup: Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of test results, testing procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Education: Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
• Manual Testing Proficiency:Demonstrated expertise in various manual testing techniques, including functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• FinTech Domain Knowledge:Understanding of, or demonstrable interest in, financial technology, including concepts like payments, transfers, or banking processes.
• Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively report defects and communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Tools:Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Experience with testing APIs (e.g., Postman).
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.

Salary
N300,000 Net Monthly.
