Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Business Development Manager (BDM)
About the Role
- We are looking for a driven, people-focused Sales and Marketing Officer to join our growth team at Greengates Specialties Limited.
- In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of our B2B operations - connecting with industrial clients across food, beverage, cosmetics, and manufacturing sectors.
- You’ll work closely with our Business Development Manager (BDM), and production teams to build real relationships with plant managers and procurement heads, share our product line, and help us expand our market footprint.
What You’ll Do
- Find, reach out to, and build relationships with new industrial manufacturing clients, managing the process from first contact to closing the deal.
- Act as the trusted point of contact for procurement officers and plant managers, listening to their feedback and making sure their raw material needs are met on time.
- Work side-by-side with our BDM, R&D lab, and marketing teams to shape sales campaigns that fit local market demands.
- Gather practical market intelligence - tracking industry trends, watching competitor moves, and finding fresh opportunities for product innovation.
- Create and present clear, engaging product samples and presentations that show potential clients exactly how our ingredients add value to their production.
- Keep your sales pipeline organized in our CRM and share regular updates with management so everyone stays aligned.
What We’re Looking For
- HND, BSc, or Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 3 to 6years in a B2B sales or marketing role, ideally selling raw materials, food ingredients, specialty chemicals, or FMCG products.
- A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and growing a territory.
- Comfortable speaking to different audiences - from factory floors to executive boardrooms and turning technical product details into simple benefits.
- Natural interpersonal skills, strong negotiation ability, and a genuine openness to constructive feedback.
- Skilled at spotting market shifts, understanding what industrial buyers need, and turning trends into new sales opportunities.
- Comfortable collaborating across departments, especially with technical QA and logistics teams.
- Fluency in English is required; being able to speak additional Nigerian languages (like Hausa or Yoruba) is a huge plus for connecting with regional clients.
- Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and basic experience with CRM software.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally to visit factories, production plants, and client offices.
What We Offer
- We believe in taking good care of the people who help us grow. When you join Greengates Specialties, you can expect:
- A solid base Salary: N150,000 - N250,000 / month paired with performance incentives that reward your hard work and closed deals.
- Paid annual leave every year.
- Comprehensive medical coverage to ensure you and your well-being are always looked after.
- Full pension compliance to support your long-term financial security.
- Hands-on experience in the fast-growing specialty ingredient industry, working directly alongside senior industry leaders and technical experts.
Application Closing Date
