About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Host/ess to join our vibrant team in Dubai. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience. Your excellent grooming and strong interpersonal skills will help create a welcoming atmosphere. This position requires fluency in English, and knowledge of MICROS and OpenTable is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests at the restaurant to create a positive first impression.
  • Seat guests promptly at tables based on their preferences and availability.
  • Set up the host/hostess stand and manage incoming phone calls effectively.
  • Make recommendations for room set-up to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain a station chart and cover count to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within 5-star luxury hotels.
  • Outgoing and joyful personality that enhances guest interactions.
  • Ability to manage a team of host/esses effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with guests and staff.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
