Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Diver to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role requires a commitment to safety and teamwork while performing various underwater tasks. The ideal candidate will hold an IMCA-recognized air diving qualification and have at least three years of experience in general diving operations. As a diver, you will be responsible for underwater inspections, repairs, and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out duties as instructed by the Diving Supervisor and Lead Diver.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks to discuss safety and operational procedures.
  • Review Task Risk Assessments before commencing diving operations.
  • Check diving equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Assist divers in difficulty during dives to promote team safety.
  • Maintain a daily record of diving activities for operational transparency.
  • Participate in emergency drills to prepare for potential incidents.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
