We are seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Technician to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role involves hands-on work with electrical systems in a heavy industry setting. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in a relevant field and experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installation, repair, and maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Attend to electrical equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Carry out planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Diagnose electrical breakdowns and failures to ensure quick resolutions.
  • Order spare parts using our computerized maintenance system (SAP) efficiently.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety procedures and standards.
  • Monitor repeated breakdowns and recommend modifications for improvement.
  • Provide guidance to newly joined electricians and trainees to enhance their skills.
  • Participate in EHS and Plant & Equipment performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in heavy industry after obtaining a diploma.
  • Completion of PEC Craft Training is essential for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance tools and their applications.
  • Good IT knowledge to navigate maintenance systems effectively.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
