Mid-Level Mechanical Technician (On-site)

About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Technician to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role involves hands-on work in mechanical installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery. You will be responsible for ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy industry and experience with computerized maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Conduct planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance work to reduce production downtime.
• Use computerized maintenance systems to order spare parts and keep records.
• Monitor repeated breakdowns and suggest modifications to resolve issues.
• Mentor newly joined mechanics on plant and equipment knowledge.
• Participate in EHS and Plant & Equipment Performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Diploma in a relevant field.
• Completion of PEC Craft Training.
• 3 years of relevant experience in heavy industry after Diploma.
• Strong skills in mechanical installation and maintenance.
• Experience with welding and fabrication.
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and practices.
• Good computer skills, especially with SAP.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals.
