About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Sheet Metal Certifying Technician to join our team in Sharjah. This role requires a strong background in aircraft maintenance engineering and hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing and certifying maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with safety standards. This position is onsite, and candidates must be physically fit to handle various operational conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft structures.
  • Oversee the work of assigned technicians to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and rectify defects to maintain safety and performance.
  • Record maintenance actions accurately and ensure adherence to safety rules.
  • Ensure the availability and readiness of shop inventory for ongoing tasks.
  • Maintain clear talks with operational teams to support workflow.
  • Enforce safety rules and uphold high housekeeping standards in the workplace.
  • Control resource usage effectively to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
  • Provide support to operational teams during maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in aircraft structure maintenance.
  • Ability to work in rostered shifts as required by operational needs.
  • Strong technical knowledge of aircraft airframe systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail in all tasks performed.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills with team members.
  • Proficient in using computer systems for maintenance information.
  • Ability to manage time and resources efficiently during tasks.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
