About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to join our team in Sharjah. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in procurement, particularly within the aviation sector. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies for ground handling services, ensuring compliance with IATA SGHA standards. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for ground handling to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct market research and spend analysis to find cost-saving options.
  • Support new station launches and ensure readiness for smooth transitions.
  • Lead sourcing and tendering to secure the best contracts.
  • Drive cost savings and value improvements in procurement processes.
  • Negotiate and finalize Ground Handling Agreements with key suppliers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to secure airport incentives for the organization.
  • Manage airport lease and rental agreements for compliance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of IATA Airport Handling and SGHA framework.
  • Experience in contract management within the airlines industry.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency preferred.
  • Proficient in Oracle Fusion and eSourcing tools.
  • Familiarity with CLM tools and MS Office applications.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
