Performance Marketing Specialist

Role Summary

• The Performance Marketing Specialist owns the numbers behind the work, turning campaign activity into measurable business outcomes for clients. Where the Ads Specialist runs the platform buys day to day, this role sets the performance strategy across the funnel, defines how success is measured, runs the testing programme, and translates results into decisions the client can act on.

Key responsibilities

• Own performance strategy for assigned clients, tying campaign activity to commercial goals such as CAC, ROAS, CPL and retention
• Define the measurement framework for each campaign: KPIs, tracking, attribution model, and reporting cadence
• Design and run structured tests across audiences, creative, offers, and landing pages, and turn the results into clear recommendations
• Partner with the Ads Specialist on budget allocation and pacing across platforms, and with the Design Lead on creative that converts
• Build and maintain performance dashboards, making sure numbers reconcile between ad platforms, analytics, and client-side sources
• Identify drop-off points across the funnel and drive the fixes with Social Media, Design, and Account Management
• Present the performance story to clients alongside Account Management, translating data into decisions rather than reporting numbers
• Stay current on measurement and privacy changes affecting tracking and attribution, and adapt the agency's approach

Requirements & qualifications

• 3-5+ years in performance marketing, growth marketing, or digital analytics, ideally within a creative or marketing agency
• Demonstrated ownership of performance KPIs such as CAC, ROAS, CPL, or LTV, with results you can talk through
• Strong analytical skills and confidence in analytics and dashboarding tools (GA4, Looker Studio, Excel/Sheets or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of the major paid platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google) and how their reporting and attribution differ
• Experience designing and interpreting structured tests, including knowing when a result is not yet meaningful
• Clear communicator able to explain performance to clients who are not data-literate.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience implementing tracking (GTM, server-side tagging, conversion APIs)
• Familiarity with CRM or email platforms and lifecycle measurement.
