Job Summary

• The Senior HR Business Partner will provide strategic and operational HR support to hospital management and departmental heads.
• The role will oversee workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR compliance, and other key people-management functions while aligning HR strategies with the hospital’s operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with hospital management and department heads to provide strategic HR support.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment for clinical and non-clinical positions.
• Manage workforce planning and manpower requirements.
• Oversee the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, promotion, transfers and exits.
• Drive performance management, KPIs, appraisals and performance improvement plans.
• Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters and conflict resolution.
• Develop, review and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and employment regulations.
• Support payroll, compensation, benefits, leave and attendance management.
• Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
• Identify training and development needs.
• Support talent management and succession planning.
• Prepare and analyse HR reports, including headcount, turnover and absenteeism.
• Provide HR advice and recommendations to management.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Social Sciences or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour laws and HR best practices.
• Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with senior management and multiple departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and HRIS platforms.
• Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or Senior HR role.
• Experience working with senior management and departmental heads.
• Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is an advantage.
• CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or other recognized HR certification is an advantage.
