About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Commis I to join our culinary team in Dubai. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for food and a desire to grow in a vibrant kitchen environment. You will play a vital role in supporting our chefs while ensuring that our food meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities

Prepare an inventory list for your station to ensure all necessary items are available.
Fill in for absent chefs, maintaining kitchen operations smoothly.
Follow standard recipes and plating guides to deliver consistent dishes.
Provide a daily market list to the Executive Sous Chef for efficient ordering.
Control the quality and quantity of goods received to ensure freshness.
Assist in food promotions and events to enhance guest experiences.
Talk with Outlet Supervisors to coordinate kitchen activities effectively.
Control food wastage by implementing efficient practices.
Maintain records of food preparation and inventory for accurate tracking.
Ensure proper equipment cleanliness and safety to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist guests with food explanations to enhance their dining experience.

Requirements

1-2 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel kitchen.
Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality is preferred.
Full compliance with HACCP standards is essential.
Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
Basic communication skills to interact with team members and guests.
Ability to manage time effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary techniques.
