Job Description
- Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Engineer-Advisor to provide technical leadership and engineering assurance across oil & gas, LNG, gas processing, pipeline, and energy infrastructure projects.
- The role will provide expert guidance across concept development, FEED, detailed design, EPC execution, commissioning, and operations, ensuring technical integrity, regulatory compliance, safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical advisory and independent engineering assurance across the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables includingPFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, and technical reports.
- Advise on facility design, equipment selection, process configuration, and engineering optimization.
- Provide technical input oncost estimation, scope definition, risk assessment, budgeting, and project planning.
- Review technical queries, design changes, deviations, and non-conformances.
- Support contractor / vendor evaluations, tender reviews, and contract negotiations.
- Conduct site visits and technical assessments to resolve engineering and operational challenges.
- Support construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations readiness activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable API, ASME, ISO, NFPA, IEC, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor engineers and technical teams while promoting engineering best practices.
- Provide technical input on asset integrity, process safety, reliability, and risk mitigation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
- Minimum 20 years of post-graduate engineering experience within the oil & gas / energy sector.
- Extensive experience in facilities engineering, FEED, project development, EPC execution, or technical advisory.
- Strong experience across up stream facilities, LNG/gas processing, pipelines, terminals, or related energy infrastructure.
- Proven ability to review engineering designs, P&IDs, specifications, and technical deliverables.
- Strong knowledge of process design, equipment selection, cost estimation, risk assessment, and project execution.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering tools, including process simulation, hydraulic analysis, and CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of API, ASME, and applicable engineering and regulatory standards.
- Experience with HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, process safety, commissioning, and asset integrityis preferred.
- Excellent technical, analytical, communication, leadership, and stake holder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
